Amidst the global turmoil of 2020, two friends, Robert and Byron dared to dream. They had an idea, a spark of innovation that they believed could disrupt the surfboard, wind and wave riding world.  Despite the many manufacturing challenges they faced, they were determined to turn their vision into reality. Boxmount was founded. 

Byron, a creative-savvy individual with a knack for bringing products to market, had the idea for the 2 part mounting system that could be manufactured or retrofitted into surfboards. Creating a flush mounting surface used to quickly and easily connect and remove foot holds, cameras, or any other tech to boards.  The main drive was a safer foot strap to use with his personal surf and foil boards.

The Boxmount Binding was born.

Robert was the brains behind the operation. He spent countless hours developing their concept, meticulously designing & crafting a product that was both stylish and strong.  All this despite his massive deadlines working as a lead designer on major Hollywood motion pictures and other successful consumer products.
